Can you help me think up a creative Etsy shop name?

Posted on September 24th, 2009 by admin

I’ve looked up a lot of the other suggestions, but I’d like something more catered to me.

I will be selling paintings, linoleum prints, drawings, and maybe more later. I’m a big fan of alliteration. I would prefer it to be a more creative name than "awesome art!" The words painting, art, or drawing do not have to be in it. A couple that I saw and liked are "KarmaKrafting"and "paisleyandposies". I’d prefer and adjective with a noun, but two nouns are cool too. Here are some adjectives that stand out- ethereal, amok, poised, auspicious, capricious, flagrant, imminent, incandescent, nebulous, piquant, rampant, ruthless, vivacious, volatile, succinic, oneiric, vespertine, pavonine, pluvial, etc.

Also, suggestions of something simple are welcome too. Example: "artpeas".

Thank you in advance!!!

art amok
auspicious art
easily incandescent
the imminent image

Can you use this word in a sentence?

Posted on September 14th, 2009 by admin

According to Merriam-Webster Online, the word of the day is pluvial (adjective).
Definition 1a: of or relating to rain
Definition 1b: characterized by abundant rain
Definition 2: of a geologic change : resulting from the action of rain
Example Sentence: "The pluvial climate of England didn’t dampen our trip; instead, it gave us a chance to visit some excellent pubs and chat with the locals."

DON’T:
-use the example sentence
-inform me that you can in fact use the word in a sentence
-say something along the lines of "the word pluvial is found in the dictionary"

Best Answer goes to the most creative. Thanks for playing!

Ciborium, humural, pluvial,pyx?
to love is great: you’re right on the first and the last but not the middle ones.
it’s humural not humoral.
well i misspelled, it should be humeral
Ciborium: like a chalice with a lid receptacle for the consecrated Hosts.
Humeral: piece of cloth worn over the shoulders by the priest while giving eucharistic benediction with the monstrance.
Pluvial: "choir-cape"
pyx : small receptacle for the consecrated host to be used for to carry the Body of Christ to the sick.

I know now. Great info.
